And WAC is now also available from the Azure Portal if needed to work with machines in cloudy areas (in public preview). Also the features and extensions are updated regularly to give better experiences. It has been getting more and more extensions which essentially replace the old style MMC based management tools, like eventvwr, regedit, services and many more. There are also plenty of updates from the partner ecosystem, including version 2.0 of Dell EMC OpenManage, an update to Lenovo XClarity Integrator, and many more. Among the improvements is a new partner snap-in experience that OEMs can enable to make deployment more seamless. Microsoft has also updated the Azure hybrid center with an improved UI.įinally, there are some updates to the Azure Stack hyper-converged infrastructure (HCI), particularly to cluster deployment. The Virtual Machine tool has also been updated with some improvements to integration services settings, support for editable columns and groupings, and the ability to edit virtual switches when moving a VM, which should prevent moving errors when virtual switches don't have the same name. You can enable or disable the preview at will using a toggle on the page itself. The new layout should make it easier to understand recent events, but it's still missing some features, so it's in preview right now. The Events tool has been redesigned, and it's the first time the event viewer is getting some major changes since 1993. Microsoft has also made it possible to pop-out different tools into separate windows. Privacy settings are also more easily accessible in the Diagnostic & Feedback tab, letting users control what diagnostic data is collected by Microsoft. The latest release also adds support for gateway proxies in the Proxy tab.
